That trailer was something and a half.
Now that the usual introductions above are done, let's dig into the PLL!
This starts with a quick recap of the things to come in 7.4, as was shown in the previous Live Letter.
And these are:

Phew that's a lot of stuff.
This Live Letter will be focusing a lot of showing things, and as such it will skip over some stuff for more time checking others.
I'll keep the same structure as usual below, but do not be surprised to see most of the things mentioned on the recap above are not present, it just means there's nothing new to show and you can recall the last Producer's Live Letter 89 for it.
I will cover any notable remarks, and provide the image showcase at the end of each thing.
The PvP category is deceptively short, but this will be a different game mode, so brace for long explanations.
PvE
The Arcadion: Heavyweight Tier (Normal/Savage)
We're jumping in straight into the raid tier on this live letter!
Lots of images on this one, not much of explanations (no spoilers hehe).
They showcase one of the fights, which look like a duo boss fight with shared HP.
They're called "Red Hot" and "Deep Blue" (direct JP translations) and they will be our wrestling hosts for AAC Heavyweight M2.
Yoshi P has also acknowledged in several outlets that the difficulty will be higher on this savage tier due to the release schedule change.
Since the savage tier will only be coming out almost a month after the normal version does, players looking to gear chase will be way better equipped as they step into these fights.
Expect lots of pain on this tier as the difficulty will be adjusted to account for that extra gear.

Raid Gear
Now, what are we getting for all this effort?
Yoshi showed some gear in order, but Morbol quite cleverly stated, "Does it even matter anymore" which considering the glamour changes, is quite correct.
As such, here's what we're getting!
A Special Bonus!
Ayo!

A wild Soken appears on stream, ecstatic!
They received a song, made in colab between Tom Morello and Beartooth, to use in the game.
They decided to end up using it in this savage tier, and it's probably the perfect place for it as well!
I'll refrain from covering most of the talking about this, as Soken and Yoshi are just explaining how this all came to be.
Please look forward to it!

The song will release on the day after the patch, so everyone can experience it in-game first.

Variant Dungeon - The Merchant's Tale

A very colourful place!
Sadly it will not come out right away, so there's still some time before we get to experience it, but it will come in a new format that was already presented in the previous live letter.
Yoshi did a recap of the variant dungeon format including the new structure to come with this new one.
Basically, the base format remains the same, however, the unlocked difficulties have been adapted.

This is the breakdown of the new type, this was shown previously I believe, but here it is again.

The new boss only formats don't require you to do a complete clear in order to get rewarded, allowing you to go in and claim just one or two boss rewards. Each boss will have their independent rewards.
Everything else remains the same, this will still be accessible via the V&C menu and there will still be notes to collect and variant actions to use.
Speaking of variant actions, there will be a new one!

Additionally, the Variant Raise II (not included above) will be a Criterion Dungeon version that will only be available there and has a limited use of 1 cast per player per boss.
Now, since this takes place inside a book, lets dive into this one, no text on this book, just pretty pictures it's good for me! 😁
PS: It's a lot of images, so I will not include images of bosses/combat, find those out on the Final Fantasy XIV discord or wait for the content to find out!
The Merchant's Tale (Advanced)
This is where you only face the three bosses, in a slightly stronger version.

PvP

Time for PvP!
I'll skip over some slides and summarise them as text for the sake of brevity.
What's coming
- PvP Series 10 starts
- PvP action adjustments (as usual)
- New Items available for Commendation Crystals
- Replicas of gear from past Feast seasons 1 & 2 with different colour palettes (to keep them distinguishable from the original gear people got back then)
- New Frontline Map - Worqor Chirteh (Triumph)
The new Frontline Mode
In this new map, there will be slight differences in how it plays out.
Going on the offensive and taking Triumphs will be your keys to victory.
The Triumphs cannot be retaken by others once they're taken (where have we seen this before) but this time tho, there will be weather effects that will happen across the battlefield, will these ruin you, or give you a chance to turn the fight around?
Claiming a Triumph
Remember those sneaky players skipping the group fights and going out to take out nodes without anyone noticing? Well, it seems this system will not allow for that kind of tactic.
This will be a system built around pushing objectives with superior might at the helm, forcing the enemy to give you the space necessary to capture the points.
From what we're led to believe, the new capture system will need you to capture three mini circles in order to claim the node.
Having more than 1 player in a circle won't make any difference, and to claim the node, you need to plant your team's flag in each of the circles.
For each shape of node, there will be a specific amount of circles (one for each corner), for example, a triangle node will have 3 flag circles, a pentagonal node will have 5.
If a player from an opposing team stands on a circle with you, you won't be able to claim it, neither will it work if they don't let you plant all the flags.
Same with players entering or leaving the circles, the capture will start from zero so you can't leave the circle at all while the capture is taking place.
This system will focus more on fighting and less on interacting with nodes and waiting for a cast bar.
Here's how it works.
Weather System
Another new system being introduced in this mode is weather events.
These will occur around the arena and will influence the players and the arena itself.

Systems and Tech
That covers all the content, now we're looking into the updates to the game itself, there's a couple different things, let's go!
Glamour Update

The recap for this one is kinda short.
You will be able to use any gear in your glamours, irrespective of class, job or level restrictions!
There will only be two limitations, these being;
- weapons and tools are only able to be used by the corresponding class due to animations (e.g. two-handed swords can only be glamoured into other two-handed sword);
- and racial gear, which will continue to be limited to races.
In response to the whole blacklist issues that arised in the past, they made some changes to the blacklist system to further obscure data that might be used to determine who's characters belong to which player.

Outfit Glamour Update
Some quality of life updates to the Outfit system.
- Certain class/job exclusive gear, starting gear and "fashion gear" (other than lv.1) will now be treated as outfit glamour sets
- Individual items that are outfit enabled can now be converted without requiring the complete set (e.g. if you have just 1 or 2 pieces of a set, you can store it as an outfit and add the rest later)
- When storing new glams, it will detect automatically if there's a piece already stored that it can combine with and complete that set.
Command Panel

This one was kept mostly in the shadows until the last live letter, and it's now ready and coming on 7.4, woah!
For those that use arcane art stuffs, this is very much like a simplified TPie, except box shaped instead of circle shaped!
What is it, you ask?
- A new UI element where anything that can be placed on a normal hotbar can be allocated to.
- This will provide you with a "shortcut box" that has 4 tabs and 25 slots on each tab
- This "box" can be shown and hidden whenever you want and is necessary (e.g. you can store all your favourite emotes inside box-chan and save space on your hotbars)
- There will be some adjustable settings such as leaving it open as an additional hotbar or having it open at cursor position, close on action, etc.
What this system will be most useful for is storing those things that are not regularly used, such as job gear macros, emotes, your favourite mounts, etc.

Strategy Board

This one has been long awaited.
You can finally create and display strategy diagrams throughout a duty, with the possibility to share your strategies and display the same board across the entire party, even allowing party members to edit it in real time!
These strategy boards will have to be entirely created by the community, but some presets will be available as well to help you get started.
You can also receive a strategy board directly from a party member, or even "install" them via codes that can be shared by players online.
The system will have a storage limit of 50 strategies total, which can be contained in folders with up to 10 strategies within.
They have even considered differences in how regions display their strategies, allowing you to change the display settings of the strategy board depending on how it makes sense to you, allowing you to highlight your own role, etc.
The boards can display mechanics as easily or as complex as you wish them to, even featuring layers to help manage the complexity and visibility of things (e.g. place job markers on a higher layer than the AoE markers).
The "screen sharing" mode which allows you to edit the board in real time for whole party strategy lessons might be a tiny bit laggy, but this is due to them routing the traffic of the boards through the server and it's the best that could be done considering the limitations.
